Going friends-only

or in which Danielle no longer cares to divulge items of such a personal nature to the perusers of the vast void of cyberspace known as The Internet
So, from henceforth, this journal is friends only. If I already know you from elsewhere, jump on in. If I don't know you, and you are somehow strangely willing to read about a girl's journey to health and her subsequent Amazing Weight Loss and Gigantic Growth in Personal Fitness (I speak in words of massive faith and hope), please comment here.

or in which danielle begins again
I have done this more often than I care to recount, and it has failed. Not because the idea can't work. I believe it can. But the element lacking in all of my attempts to regularly live an examined, healthy life has been simply that: regularity. Without consistency there will be no sustained effort.
So if there is one thing I need to establish first and foremost in my hopes&plans&efforts&wishes to be a healthier person, it's consistency. That's what this is all about. I encourage and even welcome harsh words if necessary. Spankings administered virtually will also be meekly accepted.
There are several things I want to do that all come under the big dreamy heading of Being Healthy. They include:
=> making sure my insulin issues don't turn into diabetes
=> having greater stamina + cardio fitness
=> losing weight
=> being happier (in other words, avoiding depression)
=> clearing up skin problems
=> having nice feet (ha!)
=> less nasty that-time-of-the-months
There is a lot to be done and it is rather hard to know where to begin. So first and foremost I will begin with food, because it is something I must address every single day of my life. And as that grows more controlled, I can--I pray--add more and more into the equation.
